Description:
Context:
This project is part of a mandate to completely redesign the Wix website for the Virtual Museum of the History and Civilization Department at Cégep de Rosemont. The site was designed using a template directly inspired by the Cégep's official website to ensure visual consistency and strengthen the institutional link between the two platforms. The main objective was to redefine the visual identity while improving the navigation architecture, search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, and showcasing various student productions (podcasts, videos, multimedia presentations, and visual works).
Process and Art Direction:
• In-depth analysis of the existing website and the template from the Cégep website to adapt the ergonomics and aesthetics.
• Creation of a new navigation hierarchy and a more intuitive page system.
• Development of a modernized visual and typographic style guide to ensure consistency between the two websites.
• Integration of media (visuals, podcasts, videos, artwork) into a fluid and engaging interface.
• SEO optimization and compliance with digital accessibility standards.
Result: The website is now fully responsive, accessible, and better configured for search engine optimization and showcasing student work. This project allowed me to consolidate my skills in web design, art direction, and digital content strategy, while ensuring seamless integration with the Cégep de Rosemont brand image.
